Student Got Talent, edition 1

February was marked by a unique cultural event. Horizon School, in partnership with the Higher Institute of Finance and Taxation, organized an artistic competition, in its inaugural edition, open to all students from institutions in the Sousse region, both public and private.

To this end, we opened the registration door to all talented students eager to present themselves before a panel of experts and an audience of students and teachers from various institutions. Our project aligns with a vision of openness and partnership on a fairly broad scale, by giving students the opportunity to connect with others and providing universities with a platform to create a rich and diverse network. Since we strongly believe in the importance of culture and art in bringing students together regardless of their background or field of study, we decided to host this competition beyond the boundaries of our school. It took place at the ISFF, with participants from several institutions in Sousse, such as ISG, IHEC, FSEG, the Institute of Fine Arts, FMSA, ISFF,...

The jury present consisted of different personalities: Mr. Mouhamed Mbassa Faye, the outgoing president of the Association of African Students and Interns in Tunisia, Maestro Charfeddine Guerdelli, a teacher at the Institute of Arts in Monastir, composer, and music producer, and Mr. Sahbi Farhani, a university lecturer, musician, and head of the culture and leisure club. Several awards were presented at the end of the day to the most outstanding and creative students. We would like to thank them for their expertise and fairness in evaluating the performances of all the candidates in our competition; it was truly remarkable.

We also extend our gratitude to the directors of the partner institutions of our event, notably Houssam Bouzgarrou, the director of the Higher Institute of Finance & Taxation in Sousse, and Ahlem Zantour Mrabet, the director of FMSA - Faculty of Management and Administrative Sciences in Sousse.

However, we thank each candidate for having confidence in themselves and their abilities, and for believing in our ability to foster art despite being an institution specialized in computer science.

Finally, a special thank you to our audience for their enthusiasm and captivating support. Your presence gave this event an unforgettable atmosphere. We are proud of the richness of talent within our student community and eagerly look forward to seeing you at our future events.

The contribution of each participant, spectator, jury member, and all guests was essential in ensuring the quality of our competition and the success of our event.

So, stay tuned for the second edition and for all our upcoming events!
