Horizon School of Digital Technologies supports students in developing both technical and human skills. We believe in their ability to build a better future through innovative and creative ideas or by organizing enriching events as part of club activities.
And because we strongly believe in the need to integrate new technologies into the education of younger generations and in the power of learning through play to make the digital world more accessible to children, we were thrilled to sponsor and participate in the regional robotics competition organized by the F&C Robot student club. This event took place on March 19, 2023, at the Higher Institute of Computer Science and Communication Technologies in Hammam Sousse and brought together two major robotics competitions for junior and senior teams from various middle schools, high schools, and other faculties in the Sahel region. It was a competition full of innovations and surprises, based on obstacle course games and challenges that the robots designed by the teams had to overcome. The jury, composed of teachers and responsible students, then had to choose the winning teams based on their on-field results and their technical documentation presenting their design and programming.
Thanks to these events, we can observe the positive impact of hands-on learning, which should start at a young age. We truly appreciated that all participants, young and old, were able to showcase their skills and challenge others, regardless of their age, simply based on their own knowledge of robotics. This allows us to confirm the importance of knowledge transfer through activities, especially in the field of computer science.
We are truly amazed by the perseverance and passion of young people! We must expand the field of learning, not limiting it only to students enrolled in our institution, but reaching out to all enthusiasts. It is essential to involve more stakeholders from the socio-economic fabric to ensure a bright future centered around technology.
