As every year, Horizon School of Digital Technologies celebrated National Handicraft and Traditional Clothing Day on March 16th. Everyone teachers, administrative team members, and students, both Tunisian and international—took part in this celebration. We took advantage of this day to bring together our students from different backgrounds, with diverse cultures and traditions, through the presentation of traditional outfits and tastings from various African countries. We were delighted to showcase the vibrant colors of Africa, reflected in the intricate patterns and luxurious fabrics of the traditional garments worn by all the participants in our event. We are proud of our cultural heritage and wanted to celebrate this richness in grand style.
In addition to the traditional clothing parade, we also organized a banquet featuring delicious dishes from various cultures to delight the taste buds of all our students present. From sweet to savory treats, each of them contributed by bringing pastries, Tunisian bread, and traditional cakes.
Accompanied by folk and African music, the atmosphere was very relaxed, and joy could be seen on every face, especially among our international students, who had a great time and contributed to the lively atmosphere with traditional dances from their countries. From Mauritania to the Comoros, passing through Senegal, Mali, Congo, Ivory Coast, and Chad, everyone participated, and the music and dance session ended with an introductory class to traditional Tunisian dance for all our international students! It was a moment of discovering the richness of our African continent, an exceptional moment of sharing! In short, it was a true moment of pure happiness and togetherness!
Far from the classes and assignments, we were able to show that Horizon is also a multicultural and cosmopolitan family. Through this day of celebration and discovery of our cultural diversity and heritage, we were able to see that our African continent is, above all, a land of sharing!
